In a significant stride towards the realisation of a transformative project for Auckland, the Committee for Auckland, through the expertise of CfA board member and Simpson Grierson partner, Simon Vannini, is helping establish the entity which will govern a City Centre Digital Twin Pilot. Over time the digital twin will create a complete, digital replica or “twin” of the central city’s infrastructure substantially improving future decision-making and creating a new form of active public engagement,

The project is being championed by Auckland Council, the Government, Koi Tu: The Centre for Informed Futures and Ngati Whatua Orakei.

Once the partners have agreed the establishment details, it is hoped work will begin in earnest developing Auckland’s first digital twin pilot. Stay tuned for further updates as this transformative journey unfolds.
