Welcome to the Board, Nick Hill
Committee for Auckland encourages strong civic leadership. We do this by creating opportunities for established Auckland leaders to contribute to the city and to our development of emerging Auckland talent. We are excited to welcome Nick Hill to our board directors. Nick will help with leadership development, strategic direction and helping curate collaborative sector groups
Nick is the first Chief Executive of Auckland Unlimited; transitioning from his role at the helm of Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) when it was merged with Regional Facilities Auckland in December 2020.
Nick is leading Auckland Unlimited through a vital post-Covid strategy to reposition the city as a world-class place to live, work and play. He works with public and private sector stakeholders locally and internationally with the goal to deliver outstanding economic and cultural outcomes for Auckland.
Previous roles include Executive Director of specialist New Zealand public policy and management consulting firm Martin Jenkins; Chief Executive of the Commerce Commission; and leading the formation of Sport and Recreation New Zealand (SPARC, now known as Sport New Zealand). Nick also spent ten years in the energy sector.
